Libbi Lawson, Bringing Confidence and Clarity with VR at the Twin Rivers Centre

At The Twin Rivers Centre, helping people into work is more than just ticking boxes. It’s hands-on, practical, and built around real people trying to find their way forward. Each year, the team supports over 300 participants through employment programs, helping them build skills, gain confidence, and figure out what’s next.

Recently, they added something new to the mix: Work Window.

“We wanted to explore this content and see how it could benefit our participants.”

A fresh way to reconnect with what’s possible

Libbi Lawson, Care Assistant Manager, has only been using Work Window for a few weeks. Even in that short time, it’s made a real impression.

They ran a session with 15 participants from their Ready for Work program and used the Job Interview Simulator as a springboard for conversation.

“It opened up discussion on career pathways and refreshed excitement for finding the right job for them.”

That shift in energy, where people start thinking differently about what’s possible, is what stood out. It’s not always easy to get job-seeking conversations moving, especially when confidence is low. But the VR experience made it feel real, and made it feel doable.

Quality that landed

Libbi was upfront: she didn’t expect the experience to land as well as it did.

“Very enjoyable and fun while also being very legitimate and good quality. Not cheesy.”
“We were shocked how well made the content is. Clearly a tonne of time and expertise has gone into this, and no doubt money as well.”
“They’re great. Very easy to use and navigate.”

That sense of care matters. When you’re working with people who are already under pressure, tools need to feel simple, smart, and respectful. This one did.

Just the beginning

It’s early days, but Twin Rivers can already see the value. Work Window isn’t replacing what they do, it’s amplifying it. Helping participants imagine next steps. Starting better conversations. Making the job hunt feel less like a grind and more like a direction.

Thanks to Libbi and the team at Twin Rivers for giving it a go, and for showing how VR can sit comfortably alongside practical employment support.
